1. How do i Log into the game?
- Go to this link
- Log in with your facebook login
- Accept the permissions
- Then wait a few seconds for the game to load.
2. How do i sit at at table?
- Follow the answer to Q1. above
- Click on Play Now
- You will then be seated automatically at a table.
- Most likely when you join there will be a hand in progress.
- You need to wait until this hand is complete before you can start playing.
3. How do i play?
It is simple – Just answer and then play poker!
Some more details though….
- Log in using the steps mentioned in 1 above.
- Join a table as mentioned in 2 above.
- Once the new hand begins you need to answer the multiple choice question that appears.
- You have 10 seconds to read the question and then click on one of the answers.
- Then you receive your cards and play regular Texas Hold’Em Poker!
The Question!
4. What impact does the question have?
- Answering the multiple choice question determines which starting hand a player receives.
5. So what happens if i get the question right?
- Getting the question right means you have a chance at getting a better starting hand.
- If you are right and faster than the other players then you get the best of the randomly dealt starting hands.
6. When do i see the right answer?
- You only see the right answer at the end of the hand – after the showdown.
7.When do i see if i answered correctly?
- Only at the end of the hand do you see if you were correct.
8.How can i see what answers the other players gave?
- You can only see their answers and their answer times at showdown when we reveal the answer.
- However you cannot see the answer or answer time of any player that folded during that hand of poker.
9. So if i get it right and answer in 0.2s do i always get AA?
- No - being correct and very fast does not guarantee you to get pocket aces!
- Before the question is posed the cards are dealt face down and in pairs to the middle of the table.
- The computer then looks at these hands and ranks them in the order of best starting hand to the worst starting hand.
- So if one of these pairs are pocket aces and if no other player has answered faster than you then on this occasion you would receive AA.
10. If i am correct and I answer fastest then i receive the best starting hand – does this mean that i will win the poker hand?
- No, you are not guaranteed to win the poker hand.
- You have received a “head-start” in the game and statistically you have a better chance of winning but absolutely there is no guarantee you will win.
11. Are the Flop, Turn and River cards random?
- Absolutely – yes – any card can appear on the flop, turn and river.
- The initial “ranking” of the starting hands is only relative to each other the cards that will arrive later are unknown at the time of ranking.
12. What happens if more than one player has a correct answer?
- All players that answer correctly are sorted based on their answer times.
- So if two players answered correctly the person with the faster answer gets the best starting hand and the player with the correct but slower answer gets the 2nd best starting hand.
- If two players answered correctly and have the exact same time they are then randomly ranked
13. What happens is no player gets the question right?
- If none of the players answer correctly all players are then ranked randomly.
14. What happens if some players are right and some players are wrong?
- The players that answer correctly receive the better starting hands and are sorted based on their answer times.
- All players that answered incorrectly or failed to answer are randomly given the remaining cards.
15. Is there an advantage to being wrong but fast?
- No.
- All players giving the wrong answer are treated equally and independent of their answer time.
- “It is better to be slow and right than fast and wrong!”.
16. What happens if i don’t answer the question?
- A player that does not answer the question is treated the same as a player that answered incorrectly.
17. Is this a bug? – I had less than 10 seconds to answer the question…
- This can happen – but only the first time you join a table.
- As hands are being played all the time we cannot guarantee that when you join a table that a hand will commence instantly.
- Sometimes a player can join just as the question time is running out – rather than make you wait for another hand before you can play we add you into this hand.
18. How is the ranking performed?
- Depending on the number of players in a hand, we use a ranking table for all possible starting hands.
- We use this to then rank the randomly dealt hands.
